Let me start by saying that I am not personally a golfer. But I have a lot of top class golfers visit me and they wanted a putting green.
With the help of Maos Verdes we planned out a 5 hole mini golf course with bunkers. The green is 80 m2 so is 8 metres wide by 9 metres long.There is 2cm shock pad under the grass to give a realistic feel

One bunker is sand. The second bunker is made from very strong white artificial grass so no sand needed. The performance of the white grass bunker is good, I am told.
My friends love it. Every single one of them say they wish they had this at home.
As a bonus I have a fantastic looking garden with a mini golf course that needs no water or maintenance. I reckon that it will have added €100,000 to the value of my house and has made it instantly saleable when the need arises.

After waiting 20 months to get planning permission for our swimming pool we were horrified to realise the license did not include a terrace. We then considered using decking to surround the pool. However we visited the BLIP expo and saw the Maos Verdes stand and met Nélia and Ray. They showed us a range of artificial grasses and photos of pools with this type of surround, they looked stunning so we decided to use grass and my goodness we are thrilled with the result. Ray and Nélia looked after us, explained the process and what would happen. The grass arrived on time and then José and Pedro turned up to lay it. What professional and helpful men they were and what a superb job they did. The grass looks lovely and is a pleasure to walk on, it has enhanced the look and feel of our property. Like any big job in or around a home (in this case to install artificial grass in our rear garden) we for asked for quotes from a number of suppliers.
We selected Maos Verdes to install the grass for a number of reasons.
The initial response to our query from Ray was so fast I’d hardly had time to blink.
The site visit was undertaken by Nelly and Jose where they understood straight away what we wanted to do.
Price wise the quote was better than everyone else and we settled on their best product ALON
Customer service was brilliant and way above everyone else. One supplier didn’t even turn up.
From for the first day to the last (approx. 1 week) the installation team were knocking at our door at 8 a.m, not leaving until early evening.
Impressive to say the least. Boy did they work hard!
The bulk of the time was on preparing the area for the grass which involved delivering a lot of “po de pedre”, levelling it, compacting it, watering it.
The final day was spent carefully laying down the grass and the previous preparation time was so key to ensure the grass was laid flat and seamless.
Our garden looks so impressive as a result now and will stay like this for a very long time.
We can’t thank them enough for the final result. It looks spectacular and we thank the whole team (Ray, Nelly, Jose and Mattu) for a job very well done.

I first contacted Maosverdes in early February 2021 to discuss replacing my rather poor grass with artificial grass. This was to both improve the look of the garden and to save water.
After a look around the ‘net’ I contacted Maosverdes and had a conversation with Ray Shepherd by telephone, he was extremely helpful and gave me some good advice. Subsequently, most of the contact and communication was by email. Ray was given the address of the villa and was able to provide me with a very competitive quote for the grass and installation very quickly. He recommended a grass called Sienna 40. He suggested that I would not be disappointed with the grass. During all this time I was at home in England.
I agreed to his recommended grass and the quote. Ray kept me fully advised at all times of the installation date together with some improvements around the area. This included adjusting the irrigation system to provide water for some plants on the perimeter of the area to be covered.
The work was completed towards the end of April while I was still in England. Ray and his company provided some photos of the completed work, which looked very good.
My wife and I arrive at the villa in mid-May. We could not believe our eyes. The grass had transformed the garden and we were highly delighted. The grassed area had been completely levelled and grass fitted tightly to the perimeter of the area including the around the calcadas. The grass is of a very tight construction, you can’t see the base, and is very soft to walk on. It does not move and will spring back if a heavyweight is placed on it.
My wife and I are very happy with the completed work and would recommend Ray and Maosverdes as a thoroughly professional company.

Let me start by saying I have 3 huge dogs. These used to dig up all areas of my garden so I was concerned that they would continue their digging, destructive habits with artificial grass. So I had a small area done first as a trial. This was so successful we have now had the whole garden landscaped with a large area fitted with artificial grass. The dogs love it. Dog poo no problem. Following extensive evaluation on the different artificial grass types and importantly how the ground was prepared and grass installed I have inspected many completed projects and can recommend, without any hesitation, the work managed by Nelia and her professional team whom travelled from Lagos to Quinta da Lago to manage the installation of my “ new” lawn. I am more than satisfied with the result and am so pleased to no longer be reliant on chemicals and water my previous lawn required.
